Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly has named Marissa Elkins one of its 2015 Lawyers of the Year for her work before the Supreme Judicial Court successfully arguing that Article 12 of the Massachusetts Declaration of Human Rights requires that prosecutors should not be allowed to use previously acquitted conduct against a defendant in a later, unrelated trial.
